Pakistan turns over al-Qaeda suspect to U.S.

WASHINGTON -- Pakistan handed over a suspected senior al-Qaeda member to the United States, the Washington press reported Monday.

The man believed to be Abu Zubaydah was turned over after being captured during last weeks raids in Faisalbad and Lahore. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry was not able to confirm the man's identity though.

Al-Qaeda, Taliban regrouping for guerilla war

ISLAMABAD -- Al-Qaeda and Taliban forces are preparing to launch a full-scale guerrilla war against the United States and allies, the Pakistan-based Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) reported Thursday.

''The guerrilla war is expected some time in April, '' Afghan military commander Hazrat Ali said in the AIP report. Al-Qaeda and Taliban fighters were gathering in the eastern Afghanistan mountains according to Ali.
