Six Moroccans suspected
in train bombings
MADRID -- Spanish authorities suspect six
Moroccans in the Madrid train bombings that
have now claimed 201 victims. More than
1,600 people were wounded and eight are
listed in critical condition.
Judge Baltasar Garzon named Jamal
Zougan, the chief suspect in custody,
as a follower of Spain's suspected al-Qaeda
cell leader Imad Yarkas.
Al-Qaeda leader warns
of more attacks
DUBAI -- Arabic TV networks aired messages
from a top al-Qaeda leader Tuesday warning
of further attacks on the United States.
The taped messages from Ayman al-Zawahiri
shown on al-Arabiya and al-Jazeera networks sharply
criticized U.S. President George W. Bush and the
French ban on Islamic head scarves in schools.
