N. Korea agrees to multilateral nuke talks

PYONGYANG -- North Korea said Sunday it would accept multilateral talks on its nuclear weapons.

Analysts said mediation by China, Pyongyang's strongest supporter, helped contribute to North Korea's change of stance which previously insisted on bilateral talks.

N. Korea says they will fight U.S. 'mercilessly'

PYONGYANG -- A North Korea official Tuesday warned that his nation would fight to the death and ''mercilessly'' wipe out the enemy if provoked by the United States.

Kim Yong Chun, chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army was referring to joint exercises being conducted betwee South Korea and the United States.
