Kashmiri militant attack kills ten, 30 injured

NEW DELHI -- Nine people were killed and 30 injured Saturday when militants attacked an army convoy in northern Kashmir, the Press Trust of India reported.

Two militants, an army soldier and a local policemen were among those killed.

Jakarta to intervene in strife-torn Poso

JAKARTA -- The Indonesian government will launch an all-out effort Monday to stop sectarian violence that has left hundreds dead in Central Sulawesi province.

The fighting between Christians and Muslims in the town of Poso started due to rivalry during a local election. The area has been a hotbed of religious tension over the last three years.
