India blames Pakistani group for Parliament attack

NEW DELHI -- India Friday blamed a Pakistan-based group for Thursday's terrorist attack in parliament.

''There is credible technical evidence that yesterday's terrorist attack on the seat of democracy and sovereignty of Indian people was the handiwork of terrorist organization based in Pakistan, Lashkar-e- Toiba,'' said External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh.

Indonesian intelligence: Al-Qaeda involved in Poso violence

JAKARTA -- Indonesian spy chief A.M.N Hendropriyono Wednesday said that the Al-Qaeda network was behind the religious unrest in Poso, Central Sulawesi province.

A local extremist group together with Al-Qaeda sparked the latest flare-up in Poso that killed hundreds last week, he said after meeting with President Megawati Sukarnoputri.
