S. Korea leaders: No isolation of N. Korea

SEOUL -- The present and future presidents of South Korea Monday urged the United States not to isolate North Korea in reaction to Pyongyang's recent moves.

President Kim Dae-jung and President-elect Roh Moo-hyun signaled that Seoul does not agree with Washington's forceful policy on the north following North Korea's reactivation of its nuclear program.

China set to launch massive Yangtze project

BEIJING -- China is preparing to launch the world's largest water diversion project on Friday, officials said.
