Second typhoon batters Japanese coast

TOKYO --The second typhoon in a week moved north along Japan's Pacific coast Tuesday injuring nine people, national police officials said.

Typhoon Halong is the seventh of the season and packed winds of up to 90 kph at its center.

Explosion injures seven at Deuba faction office

KATHMANDU -- A bomb injured seven people Friday after exploding near the office of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba's ruling party faction, officials said.

The prime minister was not present at the Congress Party office when the bomb exploded at around 11 a.m. local time.
