U.S.: Activity at N. Korean nuke plant

WASHINGTON -- The United States Friday said that ''activity'' has been detected at the Yongbyon nuclear plant.

U.S. officials said the reprocessing facility could produced enough plutonium to make up to eight nuclear weapons.

Seven arrested over Taegu subway fire

SEOUL -- Police arrested seven rail officials Monday over the subway fire that killed at least 133 people in Taegu last Tuesday.

The subway officials are in custody at the Taegu Joongbu Police station and police say they are seeking to file negligence charges.
