20 feared dead in Manila plane crash

A regional passenger plane crashed into the Manila Bay Monday killed 14 people with five others still missing and presumed dead.

The Laoag Air flight crashed at around 6:00 a.m. with 29 passengers and five crew members. There were at least nine foreigners aboard including six Australians and three Brits. Fifteen people have been rescued.

African Union, ASEAN forge closer ties

PHNOM Penh -- African Union (AU) Chairman Thabo Mbeki met with leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and promised stronger ties between the continents.

The first summit between the AU and ASEAN was held in Phnom Penh. Mbeki is the president of South Africa which holds the current chair of the African Union.
