Pakistan delegation strikes out

KABUL -- The Taliban's religious leaders headed by Mulla Mohammad Omar rejected efforts by a Pakistani delegation to resolve the current crisis.

The officials told a 10-member Pakistan team that they could not turn over Osama bin Laden because of religious law.

U.S. Embassy warns on Indonesian security

JAKARTA -- U.S. authorities warned of increasing "deterioration" in security after Indonesian extremist groups threatened to attack Americans during protests Thursday.

The U.S. embassy asked Americans, including non-essential diplomats, to consider leaving the country. A travel warning was also issued.
