Tiger Woods at 25 years of age is on top of his game. He holds all 4 major PGA titles. That's something like the Triple Crown, isn't it?
Why don't we retire him right now to a stud farm and see if he can produce any little Tigers who might be as good as he is? Never let him play golf again. He might hurt himself.
Isn't that ridiculous? That would be a criminal thing to do.
To retire a champion 3 year-old colt is just as criminal. To deny a great horse the right to run because he's 'valuable' is abominable. Not to mention the racing thrills lost to the public.
The saddest day in horse racing history was the day the Cheney's retired Secretariat. Who can know the great victories that were denied that super horse!
