I've also been looking forever for this and finally found it. The 'chinese puto' is called Bok Tong Go. I've seen it in only a few bakeries in Chinatown (Elizabeth, Mott, etc..) All the ones sold outside Chinatown seem to come from 'K.W., INC 210 Grand St, NY NY 10013'.
