Actually, toothpaste probably wont get rid of your pimples all together, but like many acne medications, toothpaste dries out your skin, soaking up some of the nasty oils that build up in your pimples. It reduses the redness and size of the pimples, but if u really want to get rid of them, i'd recommend going to a dermatologist. They can prescribe something that they think will work on your skin type. I hear, and know, that Differin Gel works pretty good, especially on those big, gross zits that cover-up just cant seem to hide. Also, a good trick i've learned is, after u take a shower at night, remove all of your makeup. Then soak your face in warm (i repeat, warm, hot can dry out skin and cold doesn't kill bacteria as well) water and scrub on an alchohol-free face scrub with a loofa or a face sponge (Phisoderm is a good, drying facewash). It's good also to have a nice skin moisturizer in the morning becuase alot of drying face washes can irritate skin. Make sure that when ur scrubbing your face, you work in the wash is small circular motions, this helps open up pores and lets the medication do it's job down deep. Then afterward, it's a good idea to use a nice gentle acne medication (Clearacil can be found in most grocery stores) and use a small amount on each individual pimple. If u dont have any acne medications, then i'd suggest soaking your zits it salt water to calm down the redness, or adding a dab of toothpaste to those nasty suckers. In the morning, rinse your face in cool water. It might take more than one washing to show any signs of approvement, but trust me, this'll work guys! E-mail me if u want to know more. (makeup tips, hair care, anything u wanna know!)
