Nosodes are a type of homeopathic "vaccine." Properly one takes nosodes only if coming in contact with sick persons, or in the early stages of illness. however, some use them in a manner similar to modern vaccination. A nosode usually involves some bodily fluids or tissues from a sick person. These are diluted through succusion and usually sterilized with alcohol. It is said that the "signatures" of the disease remain in the nosode and allow the body to create defenses against the offending microbes, parasites, etc.
