When Ronald Ross discovered that Anopheles mosquito was a causative agent of malaria. Ronald Ross found out the complete life cycle of Plasmodium parasite search ensued for the treatment of
malaria. Cinchona bark contained Quinine which was effective in the treatment
of Malaria. Later the search continued for other synthetic drugs and
Chloroquin, Nivaquin, Sulpha drugs were discovered. After some time Doctors
were horrified to find that the plasmodium became more and more resistant to these
synthetic drugs. The Doctors returned to the good old Quinine and found it
still effective. The moral of this story is –Do not reject nature cure. Nature
has provided us with many natural treatments for different ailments. These
treatments have been used for hundreds of years with success.

Nature treatments have been branded as inappropriate because they do not explain how the treatment acts .it
is a valid reason and it is for this reason many herbal sites give the exact
mode of action, the participating ingredients in different treatments. I had
come across one such site, mamaherb where I found treatments for various
ailments along with the exact mode of action of the treatments.

Nature treatments are better than other conventional treatment because they are devoid of side effects of the
conventional treatments. Nature cure treats the cause of the disease and not
the symptoms of the disease as in modern allopathic treatments. On of the
common disadvantages faced by profounder of natural treatment is the concerted
vilification of nature cure by multinational pharmacy companies who find their
monopoly challenged by nature cure. But
slowly a sizable category of doctors are realizing the beneficial effects of
nature care. They are once again returning to their roots, like the case of
quinine and treatment of malaria.
