Swine flu may not be as serious as predicted, but there is a case for erring on the side of caution. Even if the experts are only partly right the swine flu pandemic will still be very, very serious this coming season.
Some people are scared because they remember the last swine flu scare when more people died of the vaccine than the actual disease. They even raise the specter of a government conspiracy of some type.
Sort of a hard call here. I think the risks are too great not to be at least somewhat cautious. If swine flu does pan out to be as serious as predicted, then it will pay off to be prepared.
Swine flu does hit younger people harder and sometimes those are the same folks that its hardest to convince. They tend to think they are invulnerable. What's happening is that the swine flu seems to be mutating into a more virulent form.
