What is a Nepalese???

HI!Im thinking of writing a report about Nepal,its history,its people,its culture and etc.Would love to know from anyone out there who is from the country.Nepal seems very interesting country,thats why I pick it.Is nepalese more chinese or indian?or both?Sorry if I sound very uneducated but I would really like to know more.Much appreciation.
