I have never claimed any credit for anything, it is the last thing I could ever do. But it makes solid reference to value propositions and sound analysis when the issues closer to us are once again surfaced to bury yet another youth. We are compelled to look again at the aspects of sub cultures and what is coherent about its maintenance.
There was hype about determining influence targeting community organisation of the youth. It raised a concern by me, about their sub-cultural gigs based on the economic success of street cultures. I made a tape of its critique based on a current affairs TV programme and I draw interests to a distinction between the subjective and the objective aspects.
The precedent principle of sub culture is its distinction from the main culture whether its culture, race, age, or gender and their economic character. There is nothing wrong in generating economic activities from a fashion of street music and styles of associated behaviour. The whole existence of such a sub-culture is based entirely on a whim. And this whim has potentials to develop and expand beyond decent boundaries to exploit the extremity. They retaliate to seek changes and deploy extreme behaviours to gain recognition. But the whim failed to grow up and transform its desires into a concrete social objective. Instead it managed to isolate from mainstream and engaged in underground activities for its survival. It has totally failed to develop in social coherence serving a community objective.
Do you ever stop to notice that bureaucratic jobs used to be run by PIs are now totally dominated by Asians? It feels funny when I am asked by an Asian for a passport? The PI workers or some of them have either become suspects of criminal activities or have taken advantage of political expedience of their position. But sadly, the very people they victimised by their own schemes are the ones needing help the most, their very own.
PIs have become their own adversaries. They pull down those who try and from behind the ridicule they hide their insecurities. We have a serious problem. The politicians are targeting us as a means of structural maintenance. But we ourselves are crumbling under the cloud of subjectivities.
It is time to take up the wero and become responsible Pacific Islanders. We are all from the same place even our ancestors are, which makes all of us cousins and distant relatives. In turn we have to unite as a group for strength. We have to reorganise our future and plan how to get there. We cannot continue to carry on like this. Our strength must lay within the closest layer of kinship, followed by our similar cultures, and our one God. All these must come before our political affiliations. No one will do it for us, the NZ government among other political parties will only be interested if they get something in return. But we must be responsible first.
Right now we don’t have political representation ideology. We have to be accountable and unite to form a representative group in parliament and to account for our social, democratic, and political existence. Labour has deserted us.
