No matter how stable a Natural social organisation is such as society, once the racial card is deployed, hatred takes over to trigger conflict and violence. This is prominent in the UK where there is a political party established on racial boundaries. At the same time, the National Front is always fighting the Asians and other minorities. In NZ, racism has become synonymous with Don Brash’s speeches as a populist ploy to revive his image. The same ploy exploited by Hitler to raise a monster.
The white older folks in here are forever blaming the immigrants for whatever they could think of, even in good times. They are blind to the troubles they generate.
That is true reality for Capitalism is structured upon differences. If we let this ugly monster ride, we’d be witnessing more Blair and Bush wars, only to maintain their status quo among others. But No we don’t want to contest that, instead it’s better to maintain social struggles which serve to stabilize its material counter part. This ideally balances the traditional conservatives against the diverse ethnic groups for a sustainable social structure.
The future of Capitalism is in Asia, even if there is a World War. The population is already diverse, and the future looks more tolerant of its outcome. At least differences would not be based on the color of the skin or gender. As the old folks come to pass, the future unfolds.
There are lots of uncertain paths to cross but when the dust settles, NZ should be among the big blocs of Asia Pacific, and not in isolation because of US and UK wars.
