- Stamp Story-Lines -

Overview

Each of these vivid high quality gold stamps were designed with a specific Story-Line in mind, or to commemorate an event, an act, a viewpoint, a policy or one of the national development programs. All stamps in the inaugural issue are offered at a point in the quest for liberation of the Kingdom when a virtual state of war exists. Your attention, support and order is gratefully appreciated. In the interest of promoting peace and understanding, the following Story-Lines are as much a part of the stamp as the stamp is a national symbol of sovereign expression.

'In the Grip of the Eagle' · The Inaugural issue headliner, an imposing graphic representation of the political snare which has thwarted native control of the islands and necessitated a United States policy of conversion and disinformation. This stamp imparts the knowledge, as a painful reminder of the awesome power of the Eagle, that its modus operandi to obtain its next victim is to steal it from a weaker competitor. Emphasizing the illegality of the armed U.S. military invasion of Eneen-Kio Atoll, this stamp was inspired by recognition that all acts of the U.S. President or Congress toward annexation were and today remain irrevocably defective. Sporadic visits by U.S. ships, insufficient to administer, defend or protect the islands, led to a flawed claim that 'Wake Atoll' is a U.S. possession, one wholly without merit and patently illegal in international law.

'King Murjel Hermios' · Recognized by the Marshallese society as Iroijlaplap, or Paramount Chief of the Northern Atolls of the Ratak Archipelago, King Murjel Hermios, now deceased, was the First Monarch of the Kingdom. As allodial heir to the land of Eneen-Kio Atoll under the intricate Marshallese matriarchal system of ownership, his tribal lineage is traceable to aboriginal roots of discovery and use of more than 2000 years ago.

'Flag of the Kingdom' · The flag of the Kingdom portrays the two subsurface chains of volcanic mountains, which rise to the surface as coraline atolls. The Ratak (also Radak) chain to the east, meaning 'sunrise' in Marshallese, is represented by the white ray. To the west, the Ralik, meaning 'sunset', is represented by the orange ray. As the mountains diverge over the seabed, so too the rays split across the vast deep blue North Pacific Ocean. Traversed by many a native canoe, this northernmost of the King’s inherited lands, Eneen-Kio Atoll, represented by a star, is a veritable jewel in a crown of atolls and islands.

'EnenKio Atoll' · Thought to be a remnant of an extinct volcano that subsided, Eneen-Kio Atoll, also called Enenkio or Enen-kio, is a formation of 3 larger coral islands and a nearly continuous fringing reef surrounding a central shallow lagoon. The islands today bear the names of western adventurers who landed there unaware it was a valued cultural site and living food pantry for Marshallese chiefs and sailors.

'Island of the Kio Flower' · 'Kio' is orange in Marshallese, 'enen' (or eneen) means island. In the days following arrival of Christian missionaries in the Marshall Islands, tattooing rituals were impacted by prohibition of human sacrifice. Young men, who were destined to become instruments for the rites, no longer had the need to obtain a replacement from birds easily caught at Eneen-Kio Atoll. Yet, the prowess and skill needed to sail and navigate an open dugout canoe across hundreds of miles of open ocean was still a matter of social import. Any sailor returning with the rare 'kio' flower, which only grew at Eneen-Kio Atoll, was proof enough of manhood and honors were thus conferred.

'Under the Shadow of Colonialism' · The brazen custom of 19th Century adventurers and explorers of taking and naming islands for their kings, leaders and homelands held true at Eneen-Kio Atoll. The more isolated an island, the more potential it held for hunters and as remote outposts. In the case of 'Wake', the U.S. planned to use it as a cable relay station, but used Midway Atoll instead. Several other islands in the Pacific, including the Hawaiian archipelago, fell victim to the unmitigated power of the irrepressible Eagle.

'Declaration of Sovereignty' · The Declaration of Sovereignty was signed into law under authority of King Murjel Hermios on September 30, 1994, by the provisional government. At the same time, a representative group of citizens accepted a Constitution, King Hermios as Monarch and jurisdiction by the EnenKio government. This stamp celebrates the passage of Eneen-Kio Atoll from illegal possession by invading troops into its formal mandated return of ('de jure') jurisdiction to King Hermios as head of state.

'Islands under the Gun….' · The U.S. military has exhibited time and again it is not in the least hesitant to display its power over others or use extreme force of arms, both on domestic and foreign soil. This stamp pays homage to the fact that only military aircraft are 'allowed' at Eneen-Kio Atoll and since access by the public is denied, military and civilian operations there, including United Nations activities, are conducted in absolute secret and without scrutiny by, knowledge of or accountability to the American people.

'Still in Exile 1997…' · The serenity depicted on this stamp belies the tension of a populace forced to live in exile far from a land held too long in the relentless and lawless grip foreign invaders. Every effort to bring this fact into the awareness of the rest of the world has been thwarted. The struggle continues with the objective of repatriating those who would live, play or work in the islands of Eneen-Kio Atoll.

'State of War Declared' · Almost in desperation, to bring attention of the world and to focus on the political situation of a virtual 'state of war' existing over the Kingdom, a declaration was signed on March 31, 1997, recognizing that hostile acts by U.S. military and government leaders led to the stated condition. Some have said that the Kingdom 'declared war' on the U.S., the 'cold war' exists and continues, not for actions on the part of EnenKio or its Marshallese natives, but because of U.S. actions and its utter disregard of human rights and traditional native issues. This stamp depicts that underlying historical records are facts that the U.S. is in truth the aggressor. EnenKio continues on a course seeking peace.

'Crown Jewel of the Ratak' · As the northernmost of the Ratak atolls inherited by the king, Eneen-Kio Atoll remains the 'crown Jewel' of the archipelago. The shimmering sea beckons to all who seek to live in peace, harmony and safety from the tyranny of excessive and abusive systems of government.

'A Pacific Island Sanctuary' · Designated as a 'Pacific Island Sanctuary' under government secrecy laws, the applicability of pure trusts, an international commercial free trade zone and other fiduciary programs and laws protect citizens. The founding principles of the sanctuary are to ensure individual freedom, security of personal assets, privacy of personal and business affairs and archival provisions for valued assets. Citizens and business interests will find welcome relief from the oppressive taxation customary in many nations. Value 2.7 grains fine gold. (#S0012)

'Sanctuary of the Shark' · A sanctuary of quite a different sort is depicted by a shark cruising the crystal deep water surrounding the reefs of Eneen-Kio Atoll. Virtually all fishing, diving and economic activity of every kind has been forbidden by the U.S. for decades. With the exception of laying cable, environmental pollution and bomb damage during World War II, the fringing reefs are virtually undisturbed.
Value 2.3 grains fine gold. (#S0013)

'Pacific Ocean Navigators & Free Trade Zone' · Devoted to future commercial development, this stamp depicts the potential for the Kingdom of EnenKio to become a mid-ocean oasis for service of transport craft and a hub for international economic activity. Geographically situated near intercontinental shipping lanes and capable of providing substantial links for communications, EnenKio may provide uniquely essential services to other Pacific Islands and specific measures for safety at sea.
Value 2.6 grains fine gold. (#S0014)

'International Spaceport' · This stamp pays homage to constructing a world-class international rocket launch facility capable of achieving frequent multiple orbit and polar insertion launches of a variety of satellite vehicles. With the advent of ample technical expertise, competitive innovations and geographical location, EnenKio Atoll offers advantages of no other place on Earth. As a small nation, regulations are flexible and accommodating to maximize commercial success and profitability.
Value 1.8 grains fine gold. (#S0015)

'Gold Bonds' · The Kingdom has authorized issuance of government bonds for the purpose of supporting development programs. They are to be backed by deposits in gold, assets or other securities and are distributed worldwide as bearer bonds. The expanse of golden clouds shown on this stamp reminds us that many programs of the Kingdom of EnenKio will have an impact on the greater global community.
Value 1.3 grains fine gold. (#S0016)

'Sands of Time' · The endless dune and ethereal orb of the moon depicts the slow struggle and steady resolve to win, despite time and distance to the peaceful objective. Sifting through the myriad details is much like tramping across the dunes on this stamp – the trail may be easily covered, yet the way is always illuminated for those who keep sight of the goals and avoid the hazards.
Value 2.4 grains fine gold. (#S0017)

'Focused on the Light of Peace' · The goals of the government of the Kingdom of EnenKio are always rooted in peaceful solutions. From gaining support of sympathetic peoples, nations and governments, to the expansion of peace and final elimination of conflict, weapons testing and subterfuge of international law in the North Pacific Ocean is depicted on this stamp, as a bright sun peers around obstacles to light the way.
Value 2.8 grains fine gold. (#S0018)

'Hope for the New Millennium' · The glow of hope is held in a bright future as several programs of the Kingdom of EnenKio propose to significantly impact and benefit global conditions. Elimination of the stockpile of radioactive waste from the Earth is one of the major goals of the space program to be conducted at the international spaceport. Correction and restitution for abuses of power against peoples less sophisticated in the ways of the West follows as a close second.
Value 1.7 grains fine gold. (#S0019)

'Big Brother is Watching' · For decades, this phrase has been commonly associated with the federal government of the United States and its parent, The United Kingdom. The all-seeing eye of the great bald eagle is an ever-present reminder that given too much freedom, the scope of the servant of the Republic, which this 'bird of prey' symbolizes, may insidiously overshadow the rights and freedoms of its captors, the people, who thus become imprisoned in their own households.
