2) Planning and preparation by many volunteers for International Conference for the Institutes for Healing Racism has been going on for nearly one year with great excitement and anticipation. It is a large scale event with nearly 1000 people expected to attend--people from all over the world. Because of its size, the 'ingredients' necessary to make it a 'first-class' event, and the planning committee's desire to keep the registration price low, the conference will be relatively expensive. In this light, we are making an appeal for corporate and individual sponsors to assist in underwriting the event. If you or your organization can assist with any amount of sponsorship dollars, please contact Steve Robbins (616-459-8281 x4464) or Tamber Moore (616-459-8281 x4424) at the Woodrick Institute at Aquinas College. Your sponsorship will not only help to make this a great event for attendees, but also an impactful one for the community? Thank you for your consideration.
3) The limit's been reached! We can no longer take any more registrations for the September 12 Antiracism and Diversity Allies Luncheon. We have had overwhelming response for the luncheon with more than 70 people registered (that's all we can get into the space at Varnum Riddering Schmidt and Howlett). These luncheons are held the second Tuesday of every month, so please put the dates on your calendar and register early. October's luncheon will have Levi Rickert, who is runnng for state representative, speak on the importance of people of color in leadership positions in the community. Don't miss it!
Thank you for all your support of the Woodrick Institute and its activities. Without allies like yourself the work would be much more difficult and less enjoyable.
