the first Asian American Circuit Court Judge to be appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court in
Cook County (which includes Chicago), and only the second Asian American to take bench

weekend. M-Reps are vital resources to the MAASU community as they serve as the main line of
communication between MAASU and your organization or institution. As a complement to the
leadership training that you all will be receiving, there will be entertainment such as the Lambda
Step Team from the University of Michigan, a 'Say What' Karaoke competition, and a Dance
Party to complete an intense and educational weekend. Please join your fellow Asian Pacific
American student colleagues on the weekend of October 20th to expand your horizons and
sharpen your abilities and skills. We promise you a fulfilling and challenging experience. The
Retreat costs $30 per person if you are a member and $35 if you are a non-member. If you are
interested in having your organization join the MAASU family, dues are $50. If you seek more
detailed information, please go to our temporary website, www.gomaasu.homestead.com, or
