Hi my name is Angela Casanita Gurr, which means Angela Casanita >Angel of light< (Latin), Gurr->War< (Latin). My father is Tongan and I got my name from my great grandmother(103years old) who was full blooded Tongan. Most fo my direct family, especially the girls are very slim and tall, people don't even think that we are Tongan. My family has an unusual high ranking in the Tongan Culture, when we lose a family member it is nessisary to get a gold tooth, we are also placed first to eat at big feasts and very much respected and get gifts given to us from women. Ever since a young child when I learnt of Rapa Nui I had always had a sense of belonging there. I feel as if my ancestory comes from there. Also in Tonga they have a Lizard the Iguana which my father has a tattoo of on his back which only lives in two countries in the whole world. Tonga and South America. I'd love to hear back from you because I have the need to find out where my ancestory came from and hopefully confirm that my instincts are true, that we came from Rapa Nui, which to me sounds like a Polynesian name itself. Or the possibility of being a lost Indian from South America.
