1. Call for resumes - Do you want to work in the Obama/Biden administration? APAP is currently compiling a list of candidates to recommend for positions with the Obama/Biden administration. If you would like us to consider adding your name to our list, please send the following information to us ASAP. Name, address, email, phone, 3 references, resume as well as the positions you are interested in. Please note that you must still fill out an application at change.gov and that recommendations will be limited. We also highly encourage interested applicants to reach out to as many of your own contacts as possible.

Celebrate this historic inauguration in one of the most elegant private party venues in D.C.--Perry's Restaurant in the heart of Adams Morgan. Guests attending this distinctively stylish gala celebration will enjoy a five-star selection of sushi, hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and a partial open bar while listening to live jazz performed by world-class musicians. For the after-party, a cash bar and DJ will be available for revelers until dawn.

2. Attire

The attire for this event is Formal/Semi-Formal/Cocktail Attire.

3. Parking

Parking will be extremely limited. Guests are encouraged to consider other modes of transportation. Perry's Restaurant in Adams Morgan is accessible via metro (Woodley Park Metro on the red line). 4. Dining

Seating will be limited. For the pre-gala reception and the gala, cuisine will be presented through a combination of sushi/hors d'oeuvres/dessert stations and passed hors d'oeuvres. The Pre-Gala VIP Cocktail Reception will include an open bar and the Gala will include a partial open bar (wine and beer). For the After-Party, a cash bar will be available and light fare will be provided.

Event Description: All AAPIs who are interested in discussing how to advance the political interests of AAPI women and elect more AAPI women to public office are welcome to attend.

1. Pearl Gala – Washington D.C. – January 19th
Asian Americans for Obama has obtained four tickets to the sold-out Pearl Presidential Inaugural Gala on the evening of January 19, 2008, in Washington, DC. You can obtain a ticket in exchange for a $500 donation ($2,000 for four tickets). Your donation will contribute to a real grassroots presence at this historic inaugural event. APIAVote Briefing on 2008 Election, Transition, & Policy – Washington D.C. – January 19th If you’re going to be in the DC area around the inauguration, APIAVote is hosting a briefing on the 2008 election and transition and thoughts and ideas for the AAPI policy agenda moving forward.
