It seems that Mr. Lee was doing things that were accepted in the working environment. Many of us have been in similar situation where rules and regulations exist but it is a common practice accepted by management to ignore these rules. That Asians seem to have been targeted in this case is evident by the reaction of the Asian scientists (not just Mr. Lee) as compared to their colleagues. It seems though that much of these types of problems are centered more on Chinese than other Asian groups. Is this because of the perception as China as the current 'yellow peril.'
