I was born Dec. 19, 1974 in Saigon, Vietnam. I was airlifted out with many other orphans right before the Communists invaded Saigon. My new family was based in East Peoria, IL. I had one other brother that was their biological kid, three years old (I was 5 months old.) They split up when I was 6 and I moved around a lot in Illinois and then the Minneapolis suburbs. I went to college in St. Paul and graduated in '97 with a degree in Poli Sci and Communications, and saved money to move away to NYC, where I planned on staying 2-3 years before moving out to the West coast. So I lived in NYC from 10-98 to 11-01. Now I live in L.A. in the Valley. I like the weather here, especially growing up with heavy-duty winters. I've connected with about 5 other Vietnamese-adoptees in L.A. through VAN. I'm 27 and will turn 28 in Dec. I'm an artist and singer, but for my day job I'm an Executive Assistant in the Entertainment Industry. I'm searching for my birthmother Duong Thi Kim Thien since this year. I've not had any luck so far, and any links, resources or connections would be appreciated.
