Please. Get over it. Equating MadTV's portrayal with the Nazi's is really stretching it. And let's just say that blacks and other races have no problem picking on the white race, and I doubt Chris Rock is going to come to my door to throw me in the oven. I laugh right with him. And I do it because half the time, he's right. But you don't see white people doing the same to blacks or other races...it's only permissable for minorities to pick on each other and the whites. Ms. Swan is pretty rare to me.

And let's bring up South Park, another show notorious for using stereotypes as fodder for jokes. I have many gay male friends who find the references to Mr. Slave and Mr. Hand as hilarious. I doubt the makers of South Park are going to go gay bashing at night, and my gay friends don't see this as offensive.

Why are you and others like you so easily offended? I can't even say someone is black without someone questioning that. I'm supposed to say African American, where I'm the 'white girl', when really, by the standard you frightened PC folks are upholding, I should be called an Irish Swedish American. I laugh at Irish jokes. Am I supposed to accuse someone of being a Nazi when they tell an Irish joke?????

I have Chinese friends who think Ms. Swan is a riot. Look at Margaret Cho. Listen to her imitate her mother. It's fine for her to do that, and fine for us to laugh, but it's not fine if a white woman does the same thing?

The stereotype is nothing to be afraid of, except when it's in the hands of the truly malicious. Stereotypes come from some truth, and if anything, they should be laughed at. Most people understand where a stereotype comes from and how we should not be contrained by it's limitations. We should learn to laugh at each other and stop being so damn uptight about pissing each other off.
