Polynesian Truths Revealed from fields of Science Research on POLYNESIA :
(1) Archaeology :
This field has given us the times of Polynesian island settlement through radiocarbon-dating and the Lapita pottery findings & migrations. Savai'i, Samoa 2000-500BC ( Before birth of Christ & before recorded history ) --> Marquesas ( After Death of Christ ) 100AD & Tahiti 300AD --> Hawaii 500BC --> Aotearoa 800-1000AD. These are the around about periods of the Polynesian ( tanata mao'i from Savai'i, Samoa ) settlements of these Polynesian islands.
(2) Biology / Morphologies / Genetics :
Genetic studies done in 2000 by Scientists & Geneticists ruled out Taiwan as a progenitor of the Polynesians, yet genetic Y-chromosome studies conclude a definite similarity between ancient South East Asian Migrants and the Pure Polynesians of Samoa & Tonga. Fijians are more Melanesian / borderline Polynesia due to their practicing cultures similar to polynesians ( Anthropology ) , yet Fijian biological morphologies are more similar to Melanesians with negroid features. Polynesians were taller, bigger & more mesomorphic ( muscular ) than Caucazoids but attributed by European explorers as being more Caucasoid in biological features compared to the Asians & Melanesians. We believe at University of Hawaii at Manoa that ancient Polynesians of Savai'i, Samoa & Tonga were intermixed blooded children of ancient mongoloid & negroid forebearers hence their unique biological morphologies through the process of Genetic Evolution via Natural Selection.
(3) Languages & Anthropolgy :
Linquistic studies confirm a linear similarity of languages spoken by Samoans to the Marquesans & Tahitians and to the Hawaiians. Languages of Samoa, Marquesas, Tahiti & Hawaii are one in the same with few differences - comparable to an Englishman vs. an American man.
Same English language but overtime used different slangs & enunciation of words - yet the basic words like house, love, hello, counting numbers, earth, family, sky, ocean, bathe, emotions, eating, fishes, foods like Kalo, Talo, Taro ... etc. The basic elements in the languages are the same.
The language & cultural similarities are also elements which ascribe the other POLYNESIANS as the descendants from Savai'i, Samoa and not Fiji nor Tonga. The Fijian & Tonga languages are far different to these other very similar languages of Savai'i Samoa, Marquesas, Tahiti & Hawai'i. Also cultures in the customs of aliis ( Matai (1) Alii & (2) Tulafale = orators the lineage chanters ) are very similar. The worship of Gods from Samoa like Tagaloa or Kanaloa in Savai'i, Samoa to Ta'aroa in Havai'i, Tahiti to Kanaloa in Hawai'i, Hawai'i are also familial ties to the oneness of these Polynesians to Savai'i, Samoa.
It is true ! All the fields of Science point to Savai'i, Samoa as the birthplace of all Pure Polynesians from Western Polynesia to Eastern Polynesia ( Marquesans, Tahitians & Hawaiians ). Savai'i, Samoa the homeland of lava flows, volcanoes, God Tagaloa, Ku and Lono, Aliis & Kings of POLYNESIA.
Samoa in European history was one of the most feared places for European explorers to visit, Samoans did not tolerate invaders - they were a happy people with what they had then and still today a land of its own democratic society of nobles or aliis or matais overseen by the MALIETOA ( BRAVE WARRIOR ) of SAMOA ( Head of State ).
The negative stereotypes from old European writings on the Samoan people still lingers today. European explorers named the Samoan Islands as the Navigator Islands due to the large number of outrigger canoes, competent long distance sailors & voyagers, their large war & travel canoes & skilled - builders ( Tufuna or Kufuna in Samoan & Tupuna or Kupuna in Hawaiian ) of Ancient Samoa.
The children of the Navigator Islands navigated and populated the Polynesian Triangle from Hawai'i of the North to Rapa nui of the East to Aotearoa of the South West. Savai'i Samoans navigated the vast Pacific Ocean and settled new homes for themselves & their families.
