Big Island Hawaiians: Congrats Peter Leiataua AhChing, KAMEHAMEHA family came from SAMOA, King Kalakaua 1888. Movie ?

by Big Island Hawaiians

Hawaii's King David Kalakaua writes a book over 500 pages long. Not once is the name Pilika'aiea mentioned. King Kalakaua clearly says many times in this 500 page book that Pilikaeae & Paao came from Samoa. Everytime the name Pilikaeae or Paao came up in the legends of Umi, Liloa, Hina, Pele, Kamaiole, the introduction on page 20, 31, 71 and many other pages, its always Pili & Paao from Samoa. King Kalakaua never hesitated to proclaim Pili from Samoa, like these other people who made up the name Pilika'aiea like Samuel Kalani Kamakau, David Malo and other non-royal, commoner writers or maka'ainana historians (those who wished they were related to the kings of hawaii). Please give it up, King Kalakaua said it all throughout his 500 page book.

The ancestor of kamehameha kings originated from Pilikaeae from Samoa (pg 71 ...etc) and Pa'ao many times over and over. Listen please reader go read the Hawaiian King's book by his majesty King David Kalakaua. The other society island chiefs were envious of the Southerner migrant kings like Pilikaeae and Paao who established themselves on big island, and these jealous kings sought to fight them to death, but were conquered instead by the descendants of Pili & Paao.

According to Kalakaua, people of Samoa, Society islands & Tahiti settled old Hawaii, and remained isolated for over many hundred years so they became natives of hawaii and thus it was tradition for the commoners of hawaii to call far-away lands no matter which one, any faraway lands whether it was Samoa, Marquesas, tahiti, society islands they called them all kahiki meaning far-away lands. However, in geneology it was clear which ruling chiefs came from which islands because of their religions, their customs and more. Nanamaoa & Nanaula were Tahiti ruling chiefs and Pili & Paao were the ruling chiefs dynasty from Samoa. Big island natives, their traditions of war, culture is very similar to Samoa's people & customs. This is very true today. King kalakaua identified who the tahitian chiefs were, so there was absolutely no confusion by a highly educated, world travelled King of Hawaii in Kalakaua. Modern hulas are things of hawaiian commoners, dance for the kings of hawaii. Now big island hula, the war hulas thats Samoa to the max.

Thanks to Peter Leiataua AhChing's education websites I developed an interest in my own Polynesian connections. I read all of King David Kalakaua's book and it's in tradition with big island cultural heritage by native Hawaiian speakers.

Remember, old Hawaii had many chiefs from Tahiti, Marquesas, Samoa and others too. The commoners were mostly Tahitians & Marquesans from Samoa too, but these commoners called the Makaianana did hula and entertainment for the royal kings, priest and warriors in the likes of Pilikaeae & Paao from Samoa. So the Samoans never hula that was a duty for the tahitian hawaiian commoners, definitely the majoity of hawaii's population were commoners. The rulers were a smaller in numbers yet very powerful and physically dominating people, who did not hula much.

Its great that people know their geneology, but please be honest and be accurate don't lie about. Pilika'aiea never existed, it was made up by hawaiian commoners to connect with Pilikaeae and Paao both from Samoa who descended the Kamehameha dynasty. Thats fact not made up by makaainana of hawaii.

Please read King David Kalakaua's book, only then will you totally know the truth about Hawaii of old as told by a real King of Hawaii as he proclaims many times in a 500 page book Pilikaeae from Samoa. Sorry not Tahiti, not the Philipines, nor Marquesas. Sure, the commoners can make up stories and create the myth of Pilika'aiea from tahiti but know that pilika'aiea never existed from tahiti, the real Pili who ruled big island Hawaii came from Samoa.

Please lets all respect the writings of a late Hawaiian King, King David Kalakaua. Here is the site I read that helped me develop an interest in my Polynesian heritage again. Really good research Mr. Peter Leiataua or Peter AhChing or Peter AhChing or Peter Leiataua AhChing or whoever you are.
