For one thing could you please tell me where you got your information from..Please reply back with all references. I would like to put the records straight here for I am in connection of relatives of the tongan royals especially the first cousin of the king. For your information Tongans were not somewhat formed from a mixture of samoans (fa'elu makas) and fijians(mohe fisi). If you want to know the true facts look up the name Ma'afu the chief who almost conquered all the islands except for Fiji for the cause of them calling upon the British for help in the battle..The power of the Tongan monarchy reached its height in the 13th century. At the time, chieftains exercised political influence as far away as Samoa.

During the 14th century, the King of Tonga delegated much of his temporal power to a brother while retaining the spiritual authority. Sometime later, this process was repeated by the second royal line, thus resulting in three distinct lines: the Tu'i Tonga with spiritual authority, which is believed to have extended over much of Polynesia, the Tu'i Ha'atakalaua, and the Tu'i Kanokupolu. The latter two had temporal authority for carrying out much of the day-to-day administration of the kingdom.

..Just wondering have you ever seen a real full tongan. They are fairer than the half tongan and samoan. Those who are of tongan and samoan blood are of darker complexion. There is only a minority of mixed tongans with fijian and samoan blood so get your facts right!!!!! So learn to keep your theories to yourself unless you want to be confronted with embarrassment...
