Al-Qaeda releases new video

Vowing new "large-scale" attacks, al-Qaeda has released a new video commemorating the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The video features Mullah Mohammed Hassan Rahmani, adviser to Taliban leader Mullah Omar. Rahmani assures viewers that Osama bin Ladin is still alive.

Recent al-Qaeda operations in Pakistan such as those at the Kandahar Prison and Khost airport are praised in the video.

Al-Qaeda videos may have some impact on the U.S. presidential elections as some believe happened in 2004 when the organization released a message shortly before the polls. Some analysts believe the video helped George W. Bush win his reelection.
