The image above is from Lepsius' work and shows the four races of humans. At the far left (A) is the Egyptian as seen by the Egyptians themselves. Notice the nearly identical features and clothing of the typical African (C) situated third from the left. (K.R. Lepsius, Denkmaler aus Aegypten und Aethiopian, Erganzungsband, fig. 48)
