Dear Time

If you really do exist,
Could you kindly tell me this?
Who on Earth are you exactly?
And where do you get your astounding power?
You change caterpillars to butterflies,
children to adults,
wealthy nobles to poor peasants.
What holds you back from becoming,
an extremely super ruling being?
But if it wouldn't trouble you too much,
I have a little favor to ask.
Could you perform, hopefully, a simple task?
Would you make me stay a child,
Just for a little while longer?

From,

Curious and Hoping
