Untitled
As I dream of realms unknown,
my body suddenly comes to mind.
Features that were once familiar,
now seem distant and strange.
My hair that once simply flowed
becomes the swirling never-ending water of a river.
My eyes that seemed to once see,
feel as if I was once blind for I now see things in a different light.
My ears are now nets
always catching sounds and storing them away in memory.
My mind is now a pathway
leading into realms where anything is possible.
My stomach is a bottomless pit
eating and eating, never filling until death pays a visit.
My feet are no longer the same,
they are magical boots that can take me anywhere.
My backbone is a tree
as straight as the trunk yet as bendable as a branch.
My heart is one and only thing that is familiar,
forever holding things there
while never running out of space.
For whether or not in dreamland,
my heart will always hold those dearest to me,
close to my heart.
