My bed is not inline with the door but I can still see it if I sleep with my head in the direction of my window, the bed isn't completly in front of the window but about one third. It's also a day bed which is set against the wall and there is only one technical way to get in it. It feels a bit like a three sided crib, I read that it doesn't help love into your life if there is not at least three ways to get in. I just don't really have much of a choice here.
