Do you mean the old men that run the government of china?' For you're information those monastaries were closed, vandalized, defaced and used as dumps by the current Chinese government as a symbol to the population of where to fix their attention. Now they have been restored and populated with 'monks' whose hearts may be in the right places but haven't really been there very long, despite what the 'experts' here may try to tell you.
