Let's look at just a couple of the directives from Kim regarding women:
- never let a woman be the first to sign up for classes on a 'nail day'
- women with strong cheekbones have strong wills(apparently, phrenology still has a few misguided adherents), which means, by default, that those who don't have strong cheekbones must not have strong wills. Thank you Adolph.
- women who get 'stuck' can be cured by having an old martial artist... well, we'll cover this one later.
If you look at stories of the moo from both sides, women are hardly mentioned, especially in the stories where the people running the moo are making plans or having them carried out. Now, there were and are plenty of women in the moo, but not one has any substantial power in the organizationm, despite the fact that they fish for information on their fellow students(incidentally, an act that me and my fellow students caught on to early, and used to play practical jokes on higher belts who didn't know how to mind their own business, Dave).
It's not a lack of work on their part, I mean, I never saw one of the newer nationals drive through their training like some of the women who were in there, trying to get fair treatment, yet those guys became nationals, and those women I knew either left, accepted rank in place of authority, or went with the non-affiliated schools last I heard, when they had done way more for the schools than most of the guys.
And what about the women who weren't in, but were affiliated? You know, like certain wives, who Kim suggested their instructor husbands leave because they were not in the moo. Real nice, Essentially, such women were given the option of either being a moo or losing their husband. Of course, the excuse might be that it's good to workout with each other, but then, she could've joined a longfist school, or aikido, or whatever, but the fact was, if it was a non-moo, there was no way. Kim actually held one of his lap dogs back because that higher belt wanted to see his wife, a non moo. So, like a good lap dog, he accepted orders. Wow, what a strong guy, has his marital decisions made for him by someone not even in his marraige, and what a compassionate man Kim is.
Of course, there's worse allegations regarding Kim and women under his authority, but we'll cover that later. Historically speaking, such groups that have frequent cases of such complaints eventually oust their leaders and take over themselves, in an attempt to salvage their experiences, hopes and dreams. Wait and see.
