Let's face it, all the top guys who were thought to have any fighting skill whatsoever were taught by Tom Kim. There's not one taught by John who is thought to be particularly skilled. That being the case, what use is John? After all, he's brought so much trouble on the schools, he clearly puts himself above Moo Doe.
So, why bother with the old fart?
