David Gullifer worked hard for the schools, and was a faithful moo in all respects. One day, he was unfortunate enough to discover that he had a brain tumor. As his future and well being were tied in to the schools, he had to approach his higher belts in order to try to find funding for the operation.
Of course Master would not have sufficient time to deal with David's problems, living the busy life of a Grandmaster and all. After all, it's hard work making sure that all your homes get built on schedule, and despite what they say, you can't always rely on free labor to work as hard as they should. They're like children after all, and you have to keep on them to do as you say, not as you do.
So David went to another higher belt, one of those pleasant sorts I'm always writing about, and approached him, as David knew that the money from the schools had been put aside for future needs. Indeed, David had worked hard toward schools, and would work harder in the future, when he was well enough.
This higher belt, being the jolly sort as I've described before, knew that all of David's efforts and plans had gone toward the school, not to mention David's finances. So the higher belt, source of goodwill that he was, told David he was declined for aid.
Undoubtedly, there was good cause, as lumber for all the houses was expensive, and Master should not have to pay for such when it could be taken from the Remove David's Tumor Fund. David needed to earn his tumor free brain AND his form, and not in that order.
So David did just that, and lived, so that some day, when he was ready, he could bask in the compassion known as Kim, compassion so deep that David would undoubtedly look in awe and say 'Wow, this would have been really handy when I had a tumor in my head.'
Meanwhile, many no mind students decided that, unlike David, they would not accept that the schools would not help the ailing instructor, and they left the schools, and thought that higher belts were wankers, and worse.
So David kept on task, and moved forward in the ranks, and over time experienced such compassion, a deep and fulfilling compassion that Master can hardly muster words to define, a feeling that Jerry and Joe and Frank could not directly define, but more generally relate like a fish one had almost caught on the boundary waters, roughly so big as defined by outstretched arms, and David was so touched by this compassion that he loaded all of his belongings on a truck and moved, and didn't give higher belts his forwarding address.
Showing how a True Moo Doe Warrior can defeat two tumors in one life.

Some things can't be summed up in pics.
