I've done this in the past. With what I did though, I was flying in to see the master for corrections. When I did see him, I found I was pretty close, but there were still things I needed live instruction to get right.

I sugjest this method only for experianced martial artists well trained in the proper fundementals. An OYD guy for example could do really well with a Kong Su course, but he does not have the proper body fundementals to make it work for Kung Fu. I supose if he was REALLY dedicated, and willing to learn on tiny thing at a time, starting with the core body structure, and went to the master putting out the course a couple of times a year, it could be sucsessfully done. However, I sugjest anyone comming out of the Moo to seek the best teacher you can find and starting over from square one. Give it some time and get a really good solid understanding of the basics before you try it.

It also helps if you have prior experiance in the style you are trying to learn. For me it works because my Shaolin system has strong correlations to the new stuff I learned from tape(Both being Long Fist).

Internal styles are way too sophisticated to do by video. You have to have alive teacher at least till your a senior.
