I think that your progress is great, and I am very glad that you are healing.
I am equally glad that you are not an OYD student because your back pain my come back under another instructor. Dr. Massey is a qualified physician who specializes in diseases of the spine (I assume). Thus, he is very qualified to take a few pieces of movements out of the hundreds or thousands of OYD movements that he has and diagnose them to you. The average instructor is not, and that's where the problem comes in.
I also commend the good Dr. on not charging you exhorbinant fees. That's how it should be, and he is obviously one who isn't caught up in the 'pay me a million to fix you' craze.
