If that were me I would be focused on the technique of jumping and landing correctly. But I bet your jump side kick isn't eve close to this body position.
Here is an other possibility. May be the photo was taken before the foot completed its rotation to a side position. It is clear to see the foot is still moving based on the blurring effect.
