Shifu Alex Gutierrez started training under shifu Liang Kam Yuen in 1972 and was one of his first students. Shifu Alex Gutierrez
has been included in at least one book by Master Liang Kam Yuen.
Shifu Alex Gutierrez moved to Minnesota (USA) in 1977, established a martial arts school and taught there.
In 1997 shifu Alex Gutierrez married a Brazilian and she wanted to be close to her family they moved to Santos, Brazil. Shifu Alex
Gutierrez teaches Tai Ji Tang Lang Quan and Northern Shao Lin and also practices Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in a clinic
in São Paulo.
