Am new here, previously practiced Northern Long Fist and Mantis for about 5 years under Sifu John Delaurio in Cleveland.
Just transfered in job (more money) to Pittsburgh area. Seeking to continue learning but have heard lots of adverse accounts of the '8 martial arts taught as one' place.
Are they for real? How can they claim what's in their literature and storefronts? I was in Korea during service 10 years ago but never heard any of what they say. Could be possible but unlikely, I guess. Sounds like some guy just creating something for American market.
Also heard very, very expensive but they wait until youre in for awhile until they spring all the extra costs on you.
Is this true? why are they still in business?
There are lots of phoney places out there so if anyone can recommend a reputable Mantis or Northern Fist dojo in Pittsburgh, please post back.
