Early morning is greaat for Chi Kung. Ideally, you want to do it before breakfast, when done come in and eat, rest and do all your hard conditioning basics and weight lifting stuff before lunch.
Save the forms for after you nap, and finnaly after dinner do the sparring and selfdefence drills.
