My original reason for Kung Fu was weight loss.

I have found if I do 40 minutes of forms nonstop after a 20 minute warmup 3-4 times a week I can stay at my ideal weight of 195
BUT, if I fall short of that, I baloon up to about 230-240 and stay there, no matter how I eat.

This is one of the main reasons my Kung Fu is set up in 40 minute incraments.

40 minutes warm up/Conditioning split in half of 20 minues warmup,& 20 condtioning.

40 minutes forms practice with maybe the final 5-10 stretching or sometimes I add that time to the end for a 50 minute segment.

40 minutes sparring
