i'm glad that your experience has brought you to a teacher that you can have such a relationship with
i have to ask - almost entirely rhetorically
does this brotherly relationship diminish your ability to learn or your respect for your teacher
i ask because the only experience i have with an ma teacher-student relationship was in an organization that holds the belif that students must see their instructors as being on a 'higher-level' on all aspects of life
this goes hand in hand with their perception of students as being comparable to children beyond the realm of martial arts
