In addition, once you really understand the doctrine of your base style, see the strategies and tactics that evolve from this, you can look at other systems not as groupings of techniques, forms or skills, but differing training methodologies. If that other group has a specific skill youb seek to acquire, do not ask for the 'technique', ask them how they TRAIN to get the skill.
