Doesn't this sort of invalidate the concept of free will in man? i.e. if all of man kind chose to go down a path where they 'perverted'' the words of the bible, wouldn't they be free to? Or is it that there would be no perversion that would change the end message? In which case, does it not then equate to all paths leading to tao, so to speak, if any interpretation of the bible led to the same result?

Just a bunch of babbling questions, I'm just curious.
