What's with all the hate? Polynesians hating on each other when it's the palagi attitude that divided Hawaiians, Samoans, Maoris, Tahitian, etc. in the first place. All this hate and yet many Polynesians want to be black. Ka!!!
The last monarch of King of Hawai'i, King Kalakaua had set up a Polynesian Federation with the then reigning King of Samoa and it was good. Once king passed away, America illegally came in and the federation was put to rest.
Putting down Hawaiians and Tongans is no better than being an oppressive force like America. Don't you have Western and American Samoa? Aren't there many Samoans living in a Hawai'i(yeah in my family too and I'm proud), Aotearoa, Washington State and California?
Basically, living our homelands to make a better way for our families and our peoples comes with a price. We become subjugated to the local cultures and values of the new home. So how can you rule and what do you rule when you're living in a foreign land?
Believe what you want to believe, say what you want to say but what all the Samoans that I know as well as my cousins would disagree with the topic. They all maintain their pride but never forget that Polynesians, all Polynesians are unique. If it were not true, then the rest of the world would not want to visit our islands, exploit our cultures and live and buy up our lands...It's sad that this way of thinking persist when many odds are against us...ALL!!!
